Consultations

As a courtesy and to simplify the process of evaluating what (or whether) technical expertise is required, Case Lab provides initial consultations without charge to discuss the specifics of a matter. We promise these aren't sales calls. Consultations allow us to give practical advice, an indication of how we could assist and the estimated cost. At an initial meeting we endeavor to provide valuable advice in order to allow counsel and their clients make an informed decision about whether our services would be of help.

Engagements

We have worked with litigants, counsel, mediators and arbitrators in Canada , the US and Europe on files lasting anywhere from a few hours to several years. With clients that are not in Toronto , we are available to travel to your location but we also work with parties remotely whenever possible to reduce expenses.

Fees

Our standard rate is $1,200/day plus expenses. Sometimes we have to charge more because of brutal deadlines or what have you, but sometimes we charge less for doing basic stuff. Sometimes, like when the job is really small and interesting, we don't charge at all.
